Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
The protection of your personal data is important to us. Below we inform you which personal data are processed when you visit this website, for what purposes this is done and what rights you have.
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
TEL GmbH
Moltkestraße 25
42799 Leichlingen, Germany
Represented by the Managing Director Florian Kolken
Phone: +49 2175 98195
E-mail: info@tel-gmbh.com
2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. When the website is accessed, the web server automatically records information transmitted by your browser (server log files). This includes:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- page or file accessed
- referrer URL (previously visited page)
- browser and operating system used
- amount of data transferred and status code
The processing takes place in order to provide the website technically, to ensure its stability and security and to defend against attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure and functional operation of the website. The log files are deleted after eight weeks at the latest, unless they are required for longer to investigate a security incident. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded with IONOS.
3. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the padlock symbol in your browser’s address bar and by the address beginning with “https://”.
4. Cookies, analytics and external services
We do not set any cookies for analytics or marketing purposes for visitors to this website and do not use any tracking or analytics services. Fonts, images and other content are loaded exclusively from our own server; no connection is established to third-party servers (such as Google Fonts).
We only set technically necessary cookies in two cases: firstly, a cookie named “pll_language” stores the language you have selected or that your browser transmits, so that the website is displayed in your language. This cookie contains no other information and is deleted after one year. Secondly, cookies are set when logging into the protected administration area of the website; this applies exclusively to our own staff. The legal basis is Section 25(2) no. 2 of the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
5. Contact by e-mail or telephone
If you contact us by e-mail or telephone, for example via the “Request a quote” buttons, we process the data you provide (such as name, company, contact details and the content of your enquiry) in order to deal with your request. The buttons only open your own e-mail program; no data is transmitted via the website itself.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR insofar as your enquiry is aimed at concluding or performing a contract, otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in responding to your enquiry. We delete the data as soon as they are no longer required for processing and no statutory retention obligations (in particular under commercial and tax law) prevent this.
6. Applications
If you apply to us, for example with a speculative application by e-mail, we process your application documents and the data they contain in order to carry out the application process. The legal basis is Section 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) in conjunction with Art. 88 GDPR and Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. If no employment relationship results, we delete your documents no later than six months after the end of the process, unless you have consented to longer storage. If an employment relationship results, the data will be transferred to the personnel file.
7. Links to other websites
Our website contains links to external websites, for example to our online shop or to trade fair organisers. When you click on such a link, you leave our website; the respective provider is responsible for data processing on the linked pages.
8. Recipients and transfers to third countries
Your data will only be passed on to third parties if this is necessary for the performance of a contract, if we are legally obliged to do so or if you have given your consent. In addition, we use carefully selected service providers (for example for hosting and e-mail) as processors. No data is transferred to countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area in connection with this website.
9. Your rights
Within the framework of the statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to:
- access to your data stored by us (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- withdraw any consent given with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
Right to object: Insofar as we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to the processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
To exercise your rights, a message to info@tel-gmbh.com is sufficient.
10. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is:
Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen
Kavalleriestraße 2–4
40213 Düsseldorf
www.ldi.nrw.de
11. Changes to this privacy policy
We will adapt this privacy policy as soon as data processing on this website changes, for example due to new functions or services. The version published here applies.
